UPDATE 9/30 5PM EDT:

The Wage Scale Committee voted to recommend a contract offer to the membership. The LWC is opposing this offer. The membership vote is scheduled for November 17.

We will post details on the offer soon.

UPDATE 9/30 1pm EDT:

The Wage Scale Committee is meeting to discuss a new deal. It does not have a real wage bridge. Call ILA President Hughes at 212-425-1200 or USMX Lead Negotiator, James Capo, at 732-404-2960 to tell them that “No real wage bridge, no contract. We want top rate for everyone as soon as they have worked 3,000 hours or within 3 years, whichever comes first.”

UPDATE 9/30 9am EDT:

ILA President Hughes and the USMX are presenting a deal to the Wage Scale Committee at 1pm EDT.  Details to follow when available.

UPDATE 9/29 3pm EDT:

Hughes and a small executive committee will be meeting with the USMX until the end of today, Tuesday September 29. The  Wage Scale Committee will be reconvened tomorrow morning, Wednesday September 30.

UPDATE 9/29 12pm EDT:

The Wage Scale Committee is meeting today, Tuesday September 29, in Orlando, Florida.

This morning ILA President Hughes disbanded the Wage Scale Subcommittees. While he denied that there is a new deal with the employers, he has confirmed that USMX will not be paying the October 1 wage increase. The LWC protested the undemocratic bargaining process at the mics, but Hughes had the room packed with his supporters.

Hughes and a small executive committee are meeting with management currently.
